Leap Year Traveling Stash Giveaway!

This is Leap Year box! It's a fairly new Traveling Stash box that started this year. It only travels on the 29th of each month. I won it from Miss Mary @ Lillian's Stitches. Here's the box . . .

And yes even more fat quarters + larger pieces of fabric! This box has lots of fabric!  :)

This is what I decided to keep for myself . . . 

Mainly fat quarters and a couple of pieces that are a little larger.

This is what I'm adding to the box . . . 

A 12-piece fat quarter set of "Christmas Traditions" by Windham Fabrics! Some cuts (all fat quarters or larger) of 3 Christmas prints, Ghastlies and a fall print! 3 spools of Sulky thread! And a 4-1/2" square ruler!

Traveling Stash Giveaway!

I finally got around to taking pictures of the Traveling Stash box I won from Ella @ Throw a Wench in the Works. I'm so sorry that it took me so long! Here's the box . . . 

I've included lots of pictures of what I found inside.

These are some decor weight fabrics, seersucker that would be cute for a little boys jumpsuit, and some vinyl coated or laminated fabric (I'm not sure what it's called). The laminated pieces aren't very big but I'm keeping them in as I always wondered what they were like and now that I've seen them I know. Also because they would be perfect for lining some zipped pouches.

These are all larger pieces. Some older, some newer.

Still more larger pieces. Lots of variety.

More fabric in fat quarter size or larger.

Some blocks and a charm pack of "Prayer Flag" by April Cornell for Moda.

These are the misc. items in the box. Some button kits, blanket binding, turning sticks, pins, etc.

Then there are the books and patterns. There is one larger book in great condition. It wasn't my cup of tea but maybe it's yours.

Now here's what I decided to keep for myself . . . 

Some fabrics and one apron/pot holder pattern.

This is what I'm adding to the box . . .

A "Santa's Helper" pattern by Cleo and Me, a "Cape Ann" charm pack by Liesl Gibson for Oliver + S for Moda, a charm pack of Vintage Sheets, and some fat quarters of fabrics by Henry Glass, Clothworks and Michael Miller.

My Friday Night Sew-In Results

Hello!  :)

I haven't been feeling well the past few days so I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to participate in the Friday Night Sew-In this month. I missed last month's so I really wanted to take part this month. I did manage to find a project that I could work on without too much effort on my part. What did I work on? I made lots of progress on the cross stitch piece I'm working on for my exchange partner in the Stitched With Love Exchange. The only thing is that I can't show it to you. I know . . . it sucks! I do have a couple of other cross stitch projects I worked on last week that I haven't showed you yet. Would you like to see them?

I hope you said yes because I'm going to show you anyway.  ;)  I'm working on Lizzie Kate's Monthly Stamp Flip-It's. The first one I did is for June.

I'm going to be making these into little pillows for every month. I hope I'll be able get this one done before June begins (or at least before it ends). Here's a closer view. I love the little buttons!  :)

I also managed to get started on the one for July.

I had to stop working on this one though as I have to get my exchange gift done and ready for mailing by June 1st.

I'm so glad you stopped by to see what I did on Friday night. I sure wish I felt better but hopefully I will soon. I don't go to the doctors (a specialist) until the 27th though. Without going into too many details, it's a female problem that's been bugging me since February and it's gotten much worse this past week. I think if I can survive the next few days I'll be able to make it until my appointment. Please pray for me. I would also appreciate it if you can keep my sister, Tammie in your prayers. She just found out that she might have leukemia. She's going in for more tests at the end of the month. When it rains it pours, doesn't it? Well I believe in rainbows and I know one's coming around the corner soon.  :)

I've been Gardening!

Hello!  :)

Well sort of!  ;)  I finally got around to working on my Garden Steps quilt again. When I sat down to catch up on my blocks I only had block 3 and 4 to do.

So simple yet beautiful . . .

After I finished the two blocks I felt really good. Then that night the next block came out. Well it's good and bad. Bad because I thought I was caught up. Good because it's always nice to see the next block. Now I have one more to do to be caught up. Wonder if I'll get to it before the next block comes out? I've been working on some cross stitch projects so I won't be picking this one up again for a little while. I also noticed as I was editing the photos that I forgot to put that cute little ladybug I added to the other blocks on these ones. My plan was to add one on each block. Kind of my signature. I guess I'll be doing that when I work on this again.

I finally got around to taking pictures of the two Traveling Stash boxes I won. Yes I actually won two in one week. Lucky me! Sorry it took me so long to get them posted.

Here's the first box, Traveling Stash Box #2 . . .

I will be going through this box soon and posting lots more pictures. I'm hoping to have the giveaway posted by the end of the week.

The other box is the Leap Year box.

The giveaway for this box will not be posted until May 29th as it only travels once a month on the 29th. There's lots of fabric in this one. I can't wait to go through it all.
