Hello!
This weekend the hunky dude and I went to a couple of thrift stores. I didn't find a lot of things but I did find a few treasures.
I managed to pick up 3 vintage sheets, 2 pillowcases, 9 zippers and a very cute Halloween salt & pepper shaker set. Here's a close-up of the salt & pepper shakers.
Aren't they cute???!!! I collect salt & pepper shakers. My mom actually collected them years ago. She gave me all hers after I was out on my own and I've been adding to it ever since. I'll have to take a picture of what I've collected over the years and show you. At first I thought they were just figurines ... then I saw the holes and had to have them. :)
Well that's all for now. Hopefully I'll be able to get some sewing done tomorrow and share it with you.
Until next time...
Cherise :)
Great score on the vintage sheets. Would love to come across some myself.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! My mom collects s & p shakers too! She had to stop because she didn't have any more room for them :) You're lucky that your man is willing to go thrifting with you. My hubs love to go to antique shops, but no thrift stores. Probably better for me because then he can't talk me out of some of the things I buy :)
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother collected salt and pepper shakers. But I am not sure what happen to them. I love your finds. It feels good to go treasure hunting and find great buys.

ReplyDeleteoh man, I forgot to mention that I am absolutley wowed by your blog background. It is AMAZING! is it a quilt you photographed or did you find it online someplace? it's simply fantastic looking as your blog backdrop!
