I Love Autumn!
Hello! :)
Autumn is my favorite season! I just love the weather, the colors, etc.! With that in mind . . . Here is the new project I started a few days ago . . .
It's part of a series of four seasons. I first saw the Summer Sampler and fell in love with it. Then I saw the Autumn Sampler and just had to have it. The Winter and Spring Samplers are fabulous too! I was just going to get the charts for these designs but happened upon an Ebay auction for kits for all four of them. I won the auction and got all four for what it would have cost me for all four of the charts only. I plan on doing all four of them. I'm starting with Autumn. My plan is to finish each season before the season begins. So hopefully by the time Autumn comes I'll be ready to start the Winter Sampler. I've been working on Autumn for three days now. Here's my progress . . .
I think I'm doing pretty good and moving right along. I'm not getting bored with it either. I really do love it! The designs, the colors, everything! :) I'll be showing you my progress every week. Hopefully I'll make my deadline of finishing it before Autumn gets here. Wish me luck! :)

My Favorite Things Exchange Results!
Hello! :)
I participated in a "My Favorite Things" cross stitch exchange over at Stitched With Love Exchanges. It was a completely secret swap. We didn't get to find out who had us until everyone in the swap received their packages. Yesterday was the reveal day. Marjorie from Whittier, CA had me. This is what she sent me . . .
Isn't it all awesome?!!! I'm so happy with everything! Did you notice one of the ribbons have little teacups on it? I love teacups! :) It's all so perfect! Thank you Marjorie for a wonderful package! Here's a close-up of the lovely teapot she stitched for me . . .
I love teapots! She did a fabulous job! Don't you think?!!! :)
My partner for this swap was Loretta from Canada. Her favorite colors were purple and red. Her favorite things included lots of Christmas so that's the theme I went with. Here's what I sent her . . .
I was originally going to make a couple of ornaments for her but then I saw this Santa pattern and just had to stitch it for her. It was a lot of work but totally worth it. I love the way it turned out! :) Here's a close-up of the pillow . . .
And a closer view of the stitching . . .
Someday I want to do this one for myself too! It really was a fun exchange! I'm working on my second one with the group right now. It's a patriotic theme. I've already completed the stitching and gathered the goodies. Now I just have to finish up the piece and get it mailed by Wednesday. I can't wait to see what I get next! I love patriotic things! :)
Until next time . . .

My 1st Hermit & Stitch Weekend
Hello! :)
I participated in my 1st, of many, International Hermit & Stitch Weekends this past weekend. It was lots of fun! :) I really enjoy sitting back and creating with floss and fabric. It's so relaxing and rewarding. I started & finished this on Friday . . .
I've been working on all 12 of these Lizzie Kate Stamp Flip-It's for the last month. I began with June and
on Saturday I started and finished the last one, May. Yea! :)
Now I just have to decide on fabrics and make each month into a little pillow. I can't wait to see how they all turn out! :)
On Sunday I began some patriotic projects. I need to complete one for an exchange I'm participating in and want to make others for myself. This one is for me . . .
I love the way it came out! I'm not sure if I'm going to add more to it or not. The pattern calls for a tri-colored border with stars but I don't think I'm going to add it. It also had the words, "Love for Liberty" but I'm not sure if I want to add it or not. I'm leaning towards adding a button to the blue field and then leaving it as is. What do you think I should do?
All in all I had a great stitching weekend! I will definitely be joining in again next month! Now I'm going to go check out what everyone else worked on! :)

Friday Night Sew-In + More!
Hello! :)
I had a successful Friday Night Sew-In! I didn't get to sew though. I stitched this instead! :)
February . . .
December . . .
October . . .
and September . . .
I only have one more to go! I can't believe it! I'll be starting May today. I'll also be starting a patriotic design for a secret swap I'm in. I can't show that one until after the swap is over though. I wonder when I'll get to making these monthly stitching's into pillows like I planned? I guess we'll have to wait and see! ;)
Until next time . . .

I finished most of it last night and the remainder today. It's a Lizzie Kate cross stitch design.
I've been working on all twelve months. I'm pretty much doing one a day right now with a few taking a little longer. It basically depends on how much other stuff I have going on. I've already shown the finished ones for June, July and August previously. Here are the other ones I've finished in reverse order.
March . . .

Winnings... Purchases... & Coming Attractions!
Hello! :)
Do you remember the Giveaway Day that I participated in at the end of May? I won this from Colette Moscrop . . .
Some lovely fabrics, velvet ribbon and some buttons all the way from the UK! The hunky dude requested a pillow for his office with the stamp fabric. The rest will be put in my stash for future use. Thank you so much Colette! :)
Now for some of my recent purchases . . . Have you ever visited Bonanza.com? There's a great shop there called Crazy Annie's Stitchin' & Stuff. She has lots of cross stitch supplies at awesome prices! Last week she had a sale and I got all this for less than $30.
There are lots of future projects here! :) Can you tell I'm really loving Lizzie Kate?!!! If you like to stitch you should definitely go and check her shop out! :)
Tonight is this month's Friday Night Sew-In.
If you'd like to participate all you have to do is go and sign up. Then just stitch as much or as little as your time permits over the weekend. On Monday post pictures from your weekend stitching. I can't wait to check out what everyone stitches over the weekend.
Until next time . . .

I will definitely be participating! I'm going to try to do some actual sewing but I'll probably just get some more stitching done. :)
This weekend will also be my first time participating in the International Hermit & Stitch Weekend.

A Great Day with a Blogging Friend!
Hello! :)
A week ago today I got the chance to spend the day with Karen from Sew Much 2 Luv. We became friends online through our blogs. This was our first meeting in person. She is as awesome in person as she is online! I knew we'd hit it off and we did! :) We had planned to go shopping together. I drove to her house which is about 30 minutes from me. I brought her a gift I made for her. Here it is . . .
The kit for the card came as a free gift with this magazine . . .
It's so cute! It was my first cross stitched card. By the way . . . both of these magazines are from the U.K. They are so awesome! :)
After Karen and I greeted and hugged we went shopping! :) Our first stop was Needlepoints Ltd in Garden Grove, CA. It's a great shop and they happened to have a Lizzie Kate trunk show & sale going on! Perfect timing! :) This is what I picked up . . .
I've really gotten hooked on the Lizzie Kate patterns! I can't seem to get enough! :) Can you tell I love snowmen?!!! :) After this Karen and I went to M & L Fabrics in Anaheim, CA. I've been dying to go there as they have tons of great fabrics at great prices. By this time I was feeling kind of worn, since I've been ill. I didn't even get any fabric! Can you believe it?!!! I've never been to a fabric store before and not come out with fabric. Karen and I went back to her house and she fixed us a fabulous lunch. We sat and talked for a few hours. She showed me a lot of her stitching. It was nice seeing it in person. I love her home too! It's so warm and cozy! :) It was so nice to get out with a friend and enjoy a day together. We will definitely be getting together again. Karen thank you so much for a wonderful day! :)

I really enjoyed making this pillow for her! She is the one who inspired me to get back into cross stitching. She's been doing a lot of it herself. You should go check it out! :) The strawberry cupcake design I stitched for her came from this magazine . . .
It was designed to be a card but I turned it into a pillow.
I also stitched her a little card to go with it.

I'm okay! Really I am! :)
Hello! :)
I feel like I've been neglecting my blog. Which I actually have. I'm so sorry. I keep thinking about posting and then of course I don't. It's not that I don't have anything to share it's just that I haven't felt up to it. I've been feeling worn out and exhausted since February. I seem to have no energy at all. It really sucks! The doctors are running tests and adjusting my medications but so far nothing is working. I sleep a lot and do a lot of cross stitching. Sewing just hasn't been appealing to me at all. It just takes too much energy. I really have a lot of stuff piling up that I need and want to work on. The fact that it's piling up is stressing me out. I'm my worst enemy. :)
I did manage to take a couple of pictures of what I've been working on last week to share with you. I'm still working on the Lizzie Kate Monthly Stamp Flip-It's. Here's July . . .
And a closer view. This series all come with 3 tiny buttons. The July buttons were supposed to be bugs. I hate bugs so I made mine into watermelon seeds. I like it better this way. :)
Here's August . . .
And a close up . . .
These will eventually be made into little pillows. Who knows when I'll feel like doing that though. :(
These are the first three I completed. As of today I've completed five more! I'll take pictures of them soon to share. Last Friday I actually had a fun day out with a blogging buddy. I'll share more about that later.
Until next time . . .
