Hope you are doing well! I happen to have a massive sinus and ear infection . . . yuck! I've actually had them for a couple of weeks. I finally went to the doctor yesterday for some antibiotics. I don't know why it took me so long to get some help. I'd been in lots of pain, haven't been able to concentrate on anything and very tired. Now hopefully I'm on the road to recovery. :)
I haven't gotten much done lately, as you know. I did manage to get some heart blocks done last week though. I wanted to take pictures and post them but my older kids were visiting this past weekend and I didn't get it done.
Last night I went to take pictures and my SD card was missing from my camera. I went to my computer which is the only other place my SD card ever is and it wasn't there either. I have no idea what happened to it. I looked everywhere and still didn't find it. I went out today and bought a new one. I put it in my camera and it didn't work. An error kept coming up. I got online and did some research to see what the problem was. I found out that my camera was not compatible with the 4GB SDHC card I purchased since it's an older camera. I needed a 2 GB SD card. UUUGGGHHH!!! I really didn't want to go back to the store and get another one. I asked my son what type of card he had in his camera and he happened to have the one I needed so he traded with me. Now I have what I need and he has an upgraded one. Lucky him! :)
Sorry for the long story. Just one frustration I really didn't need when I'm not feeling well. :( I did manage to get the pictures of the blocks taken. YEAH!!! :)
It was my first attempt at paper piecing. I made 3 blocks. One for me and the other 2 for my two swap partners. Here they are . . .
I'm a little behind on these blocks as it's already March but the sign ups were late. It's part of a 12-month block-of-the-month swap so it's really not too big of a deal. Here's one of the blocks up close . . .
I'm happy with how they turned out! :) I was very nervous when I started on them as I hadn't ever tried paper piecing before. I used this tutorial for the heart. It was really great and I had fun! :)
I'm hoping to sit down and get some cutting done for a couple of projects I want to start on tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have the energy. Wish me luck! :)
Until next time . . .

I love the blocks! You did great! I haven't paper pieced yet! I hope you are feeling better. I've been sick too with sinus stuff too!
Glad you are on the road to recovery.
I did the same thing with my SD card. The one I purchased would not fit in my camera either. Boo hoo.
Your hearts are all lovely.
Great blocks! Paper piecing is on my list of things to do! Glad you got your camera card issue taken care of! Thanks for linking!
So cute! I haven't done paper piecing yet either, but I need to give it a whirl pretty soon. Love your heart blocks! I'm glad you're feeling better :)

I took a class on Crafty on paper piecing but just havent had time to do it yet. Your blocks look lovely but then you are a very good quilter :) See someone says something nice to ya and you feel better now dont you LOL. Actually I think I want to do the heart block cause I have a lot of heart material in my stash. If this doggone work would just get out of my crafty way ;) Hope you feel better soon. Drink some chamomile tea and cuddle under a nice quilt!
I've seen these on a few link parties. So cute.
Hi I'm Connie from http://hotflashncraftn.blogspot.com/. I'm your newest GF friend. Stop by and be my friend, too.
Hi Cherise! I love your PP heart blocks! I've never done paper piecing but will attempt it at some point. There are so many things in quilting to learn. I've been quilting for about a year now and loving it!
Hope you are feeling much better today!
What lovely blocks. I too have been suffering from a Asians infection for a few weeks. It sure is Exhuasting. I really feel for you having to go to the store... Then it doesn't work! Isn't that life? But I'm glad it worked out in the end. Good trade.
