Tuesday's Treasures!

Hello!  :)

Hope you're doing well today!  :)

As promised I'm here to share my latest Thrift Stores treasures with you. I managed to find a lot of sheets this past weekend as well as a few other treasures.

Let's start with this find . . .

Yes! It's a vintage Christmas Tablecloth!!! Isn't it awesome?!!! I absolutely love it! It's so perfect and beautiful! I love vintage tablecloths!  :)  I'll have to show you my collection some time.  :)

The next items were originally attached to a desk blotter. They are porcelain and really pretty!

I feel in love with these instantly and purchased the blotter so I could take these off and use them on a future project. Which project? Who knows. All I know is I have them for when I find the perfect item to put them on. I was kind of bummed when I removed them from the blotter as I accidentally dropped the top piece and chipped the corner. :(  I'm crafty though and I'm sure I can still find a use for it.  :)

On my adventures I came across 9 zippers for future bags.

Look at this . . .

Doesn't it just look like the beginning of some aprons?!!! They sure would be quick and easy! It's actually a vintage valance. I just fell in love with it the minute I saw it and it's potential.  :)

Next is another valance that I thought would be perfect for an apron!  :)

It's much better in person. This picture just doesn't do it justice! Trust me!  :)

This next photo includes lots of Hawaiian prints . . .

Wonder what I'll use these for? Hummmm . . .  Actually I know exactly what I'm using these for! I'll share more towards the end of November. :)

Now it's time to share my vintage, and more current (but not less fab) sheets . . .

This first vintage one is the perfect color for my daughters quilt I'm making her for Christmas. The picture didn't come out too well. Actually a lot of the sheet pictures didn't come out so well . . . sorry.  :(

The next one reminds me of some tie-dyed shirts from the 60's. Love the colors!  :)

This next one is more modern but I love the colors of the stripes! I definitely can work with it . . .

The next sheet reminds me of the color of candy necklaces. Remember those? I loved them!  :)

This next one is definitely vintage! Isn't it pretty?!!! I actually came across two flat sheets in this design . . .

This next sheet looks really bad in the photo.  :(  It really is nice in person though . . . trust me!  :) . . .

Check out this one . . .

It's really out of focus, but oh so adorable!  :)  Don't you just love the monkeys?!!! They remind me of Curious George. Do you remember Curious George?

The next sheet was love at first sight! It's so awesome! Love the surfboards and hibiscus! It's so fun!  :)

The next one is actually a duvet cover. The flowers are really vibrant!

There is also trim fabric on this in a blue/teal batik. It's really vibrant in person! I really wish my photos came out better but this time they just didn't. Don't know exactly why. Please forgive me!  ;)

Better get going! Thanks for letting me share my treasures with you!  :)

Until next time . . .

My latest Thrifty finds...

Hello!

I managed to get to a couple of thrift stores this past Saturday. I took lots of pictures of my thrifty finds to share with you.

I managed to find two vintage sheets, one newer sheet & matching pillowcase (too cute to pass up), and three vintage pillow cases.

Below is the print on the newer sheet & matching pillowcase. How cute is this???!!! Aqua background with red & pink lobsters, and white flowers with green leaves. I squealed with delight when I found this! Mr. hunky dude didn't understand why I liked this pattern so much. Don't you just see this as an apron? It would work well for other projects too. I love it!   :)

I love this next vintage sheet! It's so warm and inviting! I will definitely be making a quilt with it. I'll add some dark brown, with pink, yellow and blue to match it. Can't you just see it? This one makes me smile!  :)

I found a sheet and two pillowcases in this next fun pattern. Love the polka dot background!  :)

This one was a pillowcase. Love the vintage vibe! So warm!  :)

I also found five zippers in great colors! I see zipper bags in my future!  :)

Next I found these awesome shot glasses! They are acrylic. I'm not sure if they're vintage or not but I love them! My hunky dude didn't understand this one either. How could I not get these?!!!  :)

Remember when I told you I collect salt & pepper shakers? I never really look for them but if they pop up and I like them I get them. This weekend I came across quite a few of them... four sets to be exact. Most of them were only $1. The first set are little cottages. The shaker on the left is the back with the front on the right.

The next set reminded me of my mom. She passed away in February and loved yellow roses. I will think of her every time I see these. I miss her! I also love these because they are shaped like milk bottles.  :)

Look at the top of them... how cool is that?!!! Love it!  :)

The next set has a vintage vibe. They are triangle shaped in aqua and white. I love the lettering on them, as well as the color!  :)

The last set I found was the most expensive, at $5 but well worth it! A snowman and santa hugging on a tray. Aren't they cute?!!! Such vivid colors too! Love them!  :)

I remembered to take pictures of my salt and pepper collection to show you. Here's one of the whole collection...

Then I took closer pictures of the top shelf (see next three photos)...

and the bottom shelf (see next three photos)...

I have some old... some new... none borrowed... but some with blue!  ;)

Thanks for sharing my thriftying finds and my salt and pepper collection with me. Do you thrift? What do you look for? What do you collect?

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Until next time...

Thrify Finds...

Hello!

This weekend the hunky dude and I went to a couple of thrift stores. I didn't find a lot of things but I did find a few treasures.

I managed to pick up 3 vintage sheets, 2 pillowcases, 9 zippers and a very cute Halloween salt & pepper shaker set. Here's a close-up of the salt & pepper shakers.

Aren't they cute???!!! I collect salt & pepper shakers. My mom actually collected them years ago. She gave me all hers after I was out on my own and I've been adding to it ever since. I'll have to take a picture of what I've collected over the years and show you. At first I thought they were just figurines ... then I saw the holes and had to have them.  :)

Well that's all for now. Hopefully I'll be able to get some sewing done tomorrow and share it with you.

Until next time...
Cherise  :)
