2 Sisters Traveling Stash Box GIVEAWAY!

Hello!  :)

A couple of weeks ago I won the Two Sisters Traveling Stash box from Nicole at Bold Goods. This box is one of 9 that are traveling around the US. I happen to be the one who keeps track of where the boxes are so others can take part too. Go here to see where all the boxes are and enter to win one!  ;)

I actually had this box for a couple of weeks and didn't get to it until late last week because of the holidays. So sorry it took me so long!  :)  It happened to be a good thing though as I had a day out with my sister on Friday and was able to share the box with her. She choose a few things to keep (which I forgot to take a picture of, sorry). These are the things she is adding to the box . . .

Some already pieced pink squares and various fat quarters.

Here is what I'm keeping from the box . . .

A book on free motion quilting for beginners (me!), a panel (which my sis and I split), a fat quarter (which speaks to me) and a piece of cloud fabric. I will be cutting the cloud fabric and adding some of it back to the box.

This is what I'm putting back in . . .

A book that's signed by the designers, and some fat quarters.

Along with the items my sis and I added to the box, these are the items that are going back in.

Lots of fabric in various sizes. There are also some fat quarter sets and some pre-cut squares.

Two books, some patterns, gloves, ribbons, zippers and more! This box definitely has something for everyone!  :)

Pass It On Stash Box GIVEAWAY!

It's time for another Traveling Stash Box Giveaway! This time it's the Pass It On Box. Jill from Jill- Jill Via the Grapevine had won the box but was unable to participate so I had her send it to me. It arrived today.  :)  I opened it up to take pictures, but didn't take anything from the box as I didn't win it.

This box is packed full of goodies! Here are the larger pieces of fabric and a couple of smaller ones too . . .

Traveling Stash Box GIVEAWAY!

Guess what? I was the lucky winner of another Traveling Stash box!  :)  Felicia from The Slow Quilter picked my name! Thanks Felicia!  :)  This box is one of 8 that are traveling around the US. I happen to be the one who keeps track of where they are so others can take part too. Go here to see where all the boxes are and enter to win one too!

This is what I choose to keep from the box. Some yummy batiks, bobbin keepers (can't wait to try them out!) and some really fun juvenile fabric. I can see the quilt I want to make with this!  :)

Here are the other fabrics in the box. There are lots of fat quarters as well as some yardage.

There are also lots of patterns, some thread and other fun items included in the box.

Here are all the goodies packed back up in the box with a turtle mascot.

I was actually perplexed when I first saw this turtle as he's not a pin cushion but just a plush toy. I was going to remove it from the box but then I put it on top to move the box and decided he looked cute there. Then it hit me . . . he can be the mascot of the box! The keeper of the goodies . . . lol! Okay I may be crazy, and the next recipient can remove him if they like, but I'm going to let him take another journey.  ;)

edited to add:  Felicia just told me that she put the turtle in the box as a "Turtle Guard", to make sure it arrived safely. You can read about it on her post here. Thanks Felicia! Great idea! I guess this little "Turtle Guard" is the new mascot of Traveling Stash Box #2 to make sure it travels safely on it's journeys.  :)

By the way . . . I will be adding to this box. I wanted to get the giveaway posted right away. I haven't had a chance to look through my stash and pick out some fun stuff to add yet. I will post a picture of what I'm adding when I figure it out. Stay tuned!  :)

I'm happy to say that I won the Two Sisters Traveling Stash box from Wendy at Stitchduchess' Crazy and Sane Stitching World. Yea me! This box was started on July 27th by Irene of Hilachas and her sister Ida of My Sister Made Me Do It. This box is in it's youth and all the goodies are packed into a medium Priority Mail box. I'm sure that pretty soon it will graduate to the large size box like most of the others are in. There are 8 Traveling Stash boxes making their way around the US. I happen to be the one who keeps track of where they are so others can take part too. Go here to see where all the boxes are and enter to win one too!

The pin cushion was made by me from a portion of the Lizzie Kate Halloween Mystery Sampler, part two bonus design. It's stitched on 28ct light orange spice evenweave, with a black/orange backing with a hint of purple. It's filled with crushed walnut shells to keep your pins & needles sharp and clean.  :)
