Traveling Stash Box GIVEAWAY!

Hello!  :)

Guess what? I was the lucky winner of another Traveling Stash box!  :)  Felicia from The Slow Quilter picked my name! Thanks Felicia!  :)  This box is one of 8 that are traveling around the US. I happen to be the one who keeps track of where they are so others can take part too. Go here to see where all the boxes are and enter to win one too!

This is what I choose to keep from the box. Some yummy batiks, bobbin keepers (can't wait to try them out!) and some really fun juvenile fabric. I can see the quilt I want to make with this!  :)

Here are the other fabrics in the box. There are lots of fat quarters as well as some yardage.

There are also lots of patterns, some thread and other fun items included in the box.

Here are all the goodies packed back up in the box with a turtle mascot.

I was actually perplexed when I first saw this turtle as he's not a pin cushion but just a plush toy. I was going to remove it from the box but then I put it on top to move the box and decided he looked cute there. Then it hit me . . . he can be the mascot of the box! The keeper of the goodies . . . lol! Okay I may be crazy, and the next recipient can remove him if they like, but I'm going to let him take another journey.  ;)

edited to add:  Felicia just told me that she put the turtle in the box as a "Turtle Guard", to make sure it arrived safely. You can read about it on her post here. Thanks Felicia! Great idea! I guess this little "Turtle Guard" is the new mascot of Traveling Stash Box #2 to make sure it travels safely on it's journeys.  :)

By the way . . . I will be adding to this box. I wanted to get the giveaway posted right away. I haven't had a chance to look through my stash and pick out some fun stuff to add yet. I will post a picture of what I'm adding when I figure it out. Stay tuned!  :)

edited to add:  Here's what I'm adding to the box from my stash . . .

Lots of fat quarters or more! Including Christmas fabrics which the box needs, especially at this time of year! A charm pack of Moda's Little Apples! A set of 36 charm squares of Hawaiian Shirt prints which are extras from when I made this quilt for my son! A set of 40 charm squares of Vintage Sheets which are extras from when I made this quilt for my daughter! Plus some pins, adorable sewing themed buttons and some holiday trims to use on your holiday creations! Here's a picture of it all stacked up . . .

Now onto the important stuff! Would you like this box to come for a visit to your house? Here's how . . .

1.  Be an active blogger. Post about receiving the box on your blog in a timely manner. Post the giveaway for the box soon after receiving it.
2.  There's a note in the box that logs where it's been. Please add your info and place the note back in the box.
3.  There's a list of Rules and Guidelines in the box. Please read and follow these and return the list to the box.
4.  You may take anything you like from the box. Just replace every item with comparable quilt shop quality items equal to the amount taken.
5.  Ship the box to the next person in a reasonable amount of time.
6.  Due to the amount of postage shipping is only within the USA.

Please leave a comment on this post telling me about some gifts you plan on making for Christmas this year. I need some ideas. I will leave the comments open until midnight (pacific time) on Tuesday, October 9th. I will email the winner and post on my blog on Wednesday October 10th. If you are a no-reply blogger please post your email in your comment or you will be disqualified.

Until next time . . .

I have had to cut back on my gift giving last year. It made me sad but the pocket book could not handle another stretch. But made scrafs, special pillows, floor blankets, notebook covers, wallets. I hope that helps. I would love to get a chance to win this box, that turtle is so cute!!

For my Grown Daughters, I'm inspired to make a couple vintage style half aprons for the 2 of them. My pre-teen son wants a halloweeen themed couch quilt, so he'll be getting that. And for my 2Grandbabies (one of each) Some bibs and small security blankets to carry around with them. Thank You for the chance to win a chance to play in this great box.
