My 1st Hermit & Stitch Weekend

Hello!  :)

I participated in my 1st, of many, International Hermit & Stitch Weekends this past weekend. It was lots of fun!  :)  I really enjoy sitting back and creating with floss and fabric. It's so relaxing and rewarding. I started & finished this on Friday . . .

I've been working on all 12 of these Lizzie Kate Stamp Flip-It's for the last month. I began with June and
on Saturday I started and finished the last one, May. Yea!  :)

Now I just have to decide on fabrics and make each month into a little pillow. I can't wait to see how they all turn out!  :)

On Sunday I began some patriotic projects. I need to complete one for an exchange I'm participating in and want to make others for myself. This one is for me . . .

I love the way it came out! I'm not sure if I'm going to add more to it or not. The pattern calls for a tri-colored border with stars but I don't think I'm going to add it. It also had the words, "Love for Liberty" but I'm not sure if I want to add it or not. I'm leaning towards adding a button to the blue field and then leaving it as is. What do you think I should do?

All in all I had a great stitching weekend! I will definitely be joining in again next month! Now I'm going to go check out what everyone else worked on!  :)

Until next time . . .

Welcome to IHSW! It's a great way to spend a weekend and then get inspired by everyone else's projects. Those are terrific finishes. Personally, I think your flag looks great as it is.

It's all so cute! I think the button on the blue would be cute. Maybe a star button? Either way, totally awesome job!

Such sweet stitching. If i could get past all my unfinished projects, I'd love to pick up a needle and give it a go.

Cross stitching is so fun. For me it brings back such good memories of childhood and Mama trying to teach us to be little ladies which included sewing and cross stitching along with cooking and cleaning! :)

These are adorable! I think a star button on the blue (flag) would look great. Sometimes simple is better... I think it looks great without borders or any other words.
